A Subtle essence of Kolkata...in a blink!

"Manna Dey" his melodies takes one back to the nostalgic days in Kolkata! He also shows how melodious our language is!

"Gupi Gayen Bagha Bayen",represents the imaginative quality and goes on to show that Kolkata is truly a magical City! Also Portrays the artistic quality of Kolkatan heart, through the master film maker Satyajit Ray!

The peculiar lyrics of "Chandrabindoo" shows the sense of humour of the Kolkatans! Also their ardent love of music be it modern, be it old, be it rock or be it folk!

Kolkatans are SWEET! No doubt about that!Be it "Rosogollas" or their Hearts!

Football shows that we kolkatans know how to show sportsman spirit on and off the field(although we fight over teams but we are ONE, after everything is said and done)! In some way Football also shows the passion Kolkatans have within them!

The ultimate Couple of Bengali Cinema"Uttam Suchitra" depicts the Romanticism of Kolkatans to its Height!

"Sondesh" just another way to share our happiness and sweetness with people!

We Kolkatans are foodies....to the end! This is a product of an unique cuisine of our city, the Anglo-Mughlai genre of cooking, the sinfully mouth watering "Mangshor chop"!

Trams in Kolkata shows we never forget the old and Cultural!and we remember the heritage of our City!

We are oldies at heart (that is why you find so many old buildings), but we do make way for new stuff, Old and new coexist side by side

We have found the way to the ultimate truth and know the formula of inner peace, more over we have frozen the path with a stone structure of beauty called "Belurmath"!

Fish! the National food of Bengalies! One of the more "Bengali" ways to show we are all equal at heart, we all LOVE fish!

Our city is developed with a lot of fly overs nothing new there.... but it's a heart melting site to see those roads and streets once again, let me tell you!

One of the three things that we share with China hand pulled Rickshaws(the other two being communism and cuisine!)

We are religious and our favourite goddess is our "Maa Kaali" she can take care of us if bad guys come over and she loves us, all her children just the same!

We kolkatans are knowledgeable and we LOVE our Books!

We are known as the City of joy just for Nothing, we love our festivals and when it comes to celebrating the annual home coming of our very own Divine daughter we take merrymaking seriously!

At "Jamaisasti" the mom-in-laws can't dote enough on their loving son-in-laws, we firmly believe the way to the heart goes directly through the stomach!

Within every one's heart there is an artist, in Kolkata it's genetic!

a little(but mouth watering!) snack of "Beguni"
with the evening tea is our Favourite!

Yes we have to work hard to make ends meet...but who doesn't?

Our heritage and Our City mascot! Victoria memorial!

New and Old Peacefully Co-exist in Kolkata!
