The most shameful day for Indians...

"Today We celebrate the first anniversary of the tragedy on Mumbai on 26th November 2008" This was what a announcer said in a national Television channel today also somewhat similar may be found in a national newspaper. We "CELEBRATE" the tragedy today? 26/11 being some of the saddest days of our country's future we do nothing but celebrate it? Some company are even cashing in on the occasion by making brave remarks about the martyrs of that ominous day and boasting that whoever uses their products they shall be forwarding the returns to a charitable fund, a telecommunication in particular has been pretty aggressive while advertising that and i am sure that many have followed the instructions to the word, with honest intention I am sure, but if the genuineness of their intention were guided by a little common sense it wouldn't have hurt.

Let us pray together on this shameful day, a day when a handful of extremist and misled people challenged a nation of one billion people that they would do whatever they wish to sitting at the very heart of their country and all the people could do is sit an watch.

Let us pray for the souls of the few brave ones who have sacrificed their lives to save the honor of the country they loved and save the people who were their brothers. Today we pray for our murdered brothers in the hands of men whom we always treat as our greatest friends and wish them luck with all our hearts. Today we pray for our family members for it is an honor to have persona s like Vijay Salaskar to be a part of our family.

Today we pray to that all mighty whom everyone loves, our father, to ask justice for the murder of our brothers. We Pray that their eternal soul may find peace and rest forever.

But we also pray that those pathetic representation of Human beings who made the massacres are properly punished for their deeds.

We won an Oscar!...Or did we?

They say We've won an Oscar! How come ? It's not an Indian Film, it's just an American Point of View of how dirty, criminal infested, immoral and poverty stricken India is.
Our "Hero" is a Slum Dog! representing us at the so called highest platform of Motion Picture Art. A Slum Dog with a dream of becoming a millionaire(a fantasy at the most!),

We won an Oscar, how proud are we! If someone says "but they are trashing our country", we like the hypocrite pseudo-intellectuals we dismiss him, "but he doesn't understand art,and you can't accept the truth"!

I really don't have problem accepting the truth but is that all India has to offer? I don't say keep your eyes turned away from that which is bad, but don't glorify it? Let us not make the slums our national symbol and a slum dog our mascot! We must not stay in a world of Self-delusion and overlook what we lack but in no way should we glorify our faults and portray that in front of the World and what more be proud of it?

It is almost like being naked in front of the public and be proud of the lack of clothing. Ii f we continue this then we are nothing but a bunch of unpatriotic, shameless, masochists BASTARDS...yes BASTARDS...for are we not glorifying the life and origin of a Slum Dog?

Yes Gulzar and A.R.Rahman has won an Oscar, but really is that the best they can do?

Gulzar with his lyrics can actually weave spells(listen to "mera wo saamaan laotado")

A.R.Rahman, have you listened to Roja or Bombay? The maestro who has made the sound track of one of the greatest piece of Hollywood movie soundtracks(The Lord Of The Rings), does "Jay Ho" does honour to his genius?

I only laugh upon the fools who celebrate this "victory", in effect they are celebrating their loss!

SLUM.....
DOG.....

MILLIONAIRE ??

Is this our Destiny???

Ramsena or Taliban?

In the shameful Mangalore fiasco, where, few girls were badly beaten by certain some hooligans, who put up a hypocritical semi political extreme rightist outfit called the Ramsena(never ever heard of, before), I found the attitude of the women's commission to be most frustrating and also something which makes me irritated and severely doubt their intentions and competency....

One of the officials of the Women's rights commission was interviewed by one of the television channels wherein, she was asked what actions would the commission take against the miscreants? The lady who, no doubt, considers herself to be a great diplomat and a definite V.I.P, lamely answers that the hotel had no licence to sell liquors and they were only to supposed to serve the customers who sat inside the eating area and not the one's who were outside on the dance floor as they did not have licence to run a pub either.

Now I ask a simple question, what has that got absolutely anything to do with the matter in hand?
Seeing these officials, makes my heart sink in abject fear, if this the competency level of our administrative officials, I really get a chill regarding, not about the future, but the present of my nation(If this continues I wonder whether there would a future at all), the most peculiar thing was that there was no outrage regarding the matter and the miscreants who were released on bail had strangely smug and somewhat "spoilt" smile on their faces. I stress upon the word "spoilt" because it tends to signify the mindset of a Little kid, who knows his dotting parents wouldn't scold him, even if he does something wrong and above all, his actions are somewhat innocent to the level of ignorance, it is as if they do not comprehend the grievousness of the crime they have committed, which makes them all the dangerous as, we find ourselves dealing with scums who are behaving as self appointed champions of our so called traditional social order without the faintest hint of what Indian culture is all about whether good or evil. Being administered by a bunch of incompetent morons are a scared thought all by itself, but social policing by a gang of halfwit unintellectual brainwashed social vegetables is possibly more unnerving than anything. If steps are not taken we might one day be facing another Taliban like outfit and no one has to remind us what the Taliban had been capable of. Do we really want the glorious lands of our forefathers with one of the richest cultural heritages in the world, turn into a land of semi barbaric vandalism.....??

Is this the true face of women?
